This Olivet Discourse Decoded post features a video from Stan of The11:11Sign YouTube channel called ‘The Church is in Grave Danger.‘
Video description: If you told an early Church member that in the last days the Church would turn away from the Lord’s teaching at the Olivet Discourse they would flat-out not believe it. The sad truth is….that’s exactly what has happened. And it has happened across denominations and various schools of prophecy.
Before I begin my review of his explanations, let me declare that I do these type of reviews, not just to expose false teachers; but to show what they teach, which you may have also been taught, so that you can see the truth and the deception.
These reviews serve as an open rebuttal of his explanations. It’s not about me, it’s about the truth of prophecy fulfillment which reveals the glory of our beloved Messiah!
Someone asked me to review this video to give them feedback, so a post like this is the best way to do it.
Stan of The11:11Sign is passionate that the Olivet Discourse is not being taught in churches, as he thinks that it’s so important, but then he wrongly applies Matthew 24 to the end times.
The context of Messiah’s Olivet Discourse is the desolation of the temple that He just came out of, in which He rebuked the Jewish leaders who were seeking to kill Him. He proclaimed that judgment would come upon them in that generation.
We know that within a generation, the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD caused Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish nation to be desolated.
All of the things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:36 to Matthew 24:33 were fulfilled by 70 AD. The enemy has deceived people about the symbolism of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened; Messiah coming in power and glory; and the elect being gathered. But the Bible gives the proper definitions for the symbols.
The term ‘this generation’ was used ten times in Matthew, the last time in Matthew 24:34. The previous nine times it points to the Jews who lived during Messiah’s first advent. When you take Messiah at His Word you see the fulfillment of His Olivet Discourse and how the things that He described took place in that generation of Jews, for their punishment of continuing their rebellion against the Father, for delivering Messiah up to be killed, and for persecuting His disciples.
They proclaimed ‘let His blood be on us,’ and that prophetic statement was fulfilled in that generation, during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD, when Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish nation were desolated.

Stan of The11:11Signapplies the ‘times of the gentiles’ to the time from the first century until the end.
The false, futuristic prophecy fulfillment narrative says that the 70th week of Daniel 9 is yet to be fulfilled, that we’re in the ‘time of the gentiles’ from Messiah’s ministry until the 70th week starts and the saints are raptured out, and then God will deal with the Jews during the last seven years.
Any teacher who is basing their explanation of Revelation on the concept of a future 70th week of Daniel 9, the 7-year tribulation period, is misleading you. The false concept of a 7-year tribulation period is based on the 70-weeks of Daniel 9 prophecy.
The prophecy foretold when Messiah would appear to carry out His ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He would confirm the (everlasting) covenant (that was mentioned in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It’s not about the end times or the antichrist.

Stan of The11:11Sign says that Matthew 24:30-31 point to the return of Messiah for His saints and that Matthew 25:31 points to Messiah’s return against the unbelieving nations.
This is a false narrative which is based on his misunderstanding of the context of Messiah’s Olivet Discourse.
In Matthew 23, we see that Messiah rebuked the Jewish leaders and proclaimed that judgment was coming upon them in that generation. That’s the context of the Olivet Discourse.
Then Messiah proclaimed that the temple would be destroyed. That’s the context of the Olivet Discourse.
So the disciples as Him for a sign, so that they knew how to avoid this time of trouble for the unbelieving Jewish nation.
It’s the fulfillment of Daniel 9:26-27, which proclaims that because of the abominations of the Jewish leaders, in delivering their promised Messiah up to be cut off, killed, that Jerusalem and the temple would be destroyed. That’s the context of the Olivet Discourse.
And within one generation, Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish nation were desolated during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD. The unbelieving Jews faced a time of great tribulation when 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion and by the Roman sword.
But the believing Jews heeded the sign of the abomination of desolation, which took place in November 66 AD, when Cestius and his army surrounded Jerusalem to take it captive. When Cestius left for no explained reason (by the hand of God), then the believing Jews escaped to the mountains of Pella for safety as Messiah told them.

Matthew 24:1-35 was fulfilled in that generation of Jews. Matthew 24:36-51 and Matthew 24 describes Messiah’s return in the end times.
Stan of The11:11Sign says that the seven churches in Revelation 2-3 represent the state of the churches at the time of Messiah’s return.
This is a false narrative, as the seven churches of Revelation 2-3 point to seven church ages which exist from the first century until Messiah’s return.
Messiah was foretelling what the saints would face as the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom; pagan Emperors > antichrist beast popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior General; have made war with Messiah’s saints.

Stan of The11:11Sign says that people in the church of Laodicea have no chance of escaping in the rapture, as they need to go through the trial because they are blind and naked.
The sad irony of that statement is that we live in the last church era of Laodicea, and it’s people like Stan who are blind and naked as they don’t understand the historicist prophecy fulfillment explanations.
It’s amazing to me that people like Stan seem so sure of themselves, but they are giving false prophecy fulfillment explanations which serve to deflect blame away from the two horns, the two leaders in Revelation 13:11, the white pope and the black pope.
The white pope and the black pope pretend to be priests of Messiah (like a lamb) but really serve Satan (the dragon) to make with with Messiah’s saints.

Stan of The11:11Sign thinks that he’s part of the church of Philadelphia of which Messiah has no bad thing to say.
But to the many false prophecy teachers did Messiah proclaim that they are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
The truth is that most of the prophecies in Revelation have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years. But the enemy has misled the end-times church of Laodicea with the false, futuristic narrative of prophecy fulfillment.

Matthew records that Messiah pointed to “this generation” ten times. In the final time, Messiah said, “Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” Matthew 24:34
The nine previous mentions are pointing to the Jews who opposed Messiah. Are we to believe that the tenth time that He described “this generation,” that He is pointing to the end times? No!
The context of Messiah’s Olivet Discourse is the desolation of the temple that He was just in when He rebuked the Jews and said, “Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation.”
All of the things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:36 to Matthew 24:33 were fulfilled by 70 AD when the Romans desolated Jerusalem, the temple, and the Jewish nation. The enemy has deceived people about the symbolism of the sun, moon, and stars being darkened; Messiah coming in power and glory; and the elect being gathered. But the Bible gives the proper definitions for the symbols.
We need to take Messiah at His Word and look at how the things that He described were about the Jewish nation, for their punishment of continuing their rebellion against the Father, for delivering Messiah up to be killed, and for persecuting His disciples.
The Olivet Discourse is directed related to the 70th Week of Daniel 9, which says that the city and temple will be desolated because of the abominations of the Jews.
If you’re seeking for truth, and not to defend a belief, this book will prove out the fulfillment of Messiah’s Olivet Discourse. It will help you see that it’s not about the end times so that you’re not misled about the fulfillment of Revelation, as we await Messiah’s promised return.
