Lion of Judah says that the disciples asked Messiah about the end times and His return.
This is false. Matthew 23 records Messiah’s rebuke of the Jewish leaders who sought to kill Him. He proclaimed that judgment is coming upon them in that generation. Then He proclaimed that the second temple would be destroyed.
The disciples were asking when these things would take place so that they could be protected. In that generation, in 70 AD, Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation was desolated. That is the context of the Olivet Discourse!
Lion of Judah says that we need to be careful not to fall in the traps of the false prophet.
How sad is the irony of this statement, as the ministry of Lion Of Judah is teaching the false, futuristic prophecy fulfillment explanations which were created by the false prophet of Revelation, the Jesuit Superior General in order to deflect blame away from the Popes.
The false prophet created the futuristic explanations as the Protestant Reformers all proclaimed that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome.
Lion of Judah says points to Matthew 24:6, to wars and rumors of wars.
Tacitus, the Roman historian, says of this period: “It was full of calamities, horrible with battles, rent with seditions, savage in peace itself.” (PNTC)
The Jews suffered tumult under a series of incompetent and insensitive Roman leaders, who did not hesitate to kill people.
- Caligula tried to erect his statue in the Jewish temple; the Jews resisted.
- In Caesarea, Jews and Syrians went at each others’ throats for mastery of the city; 20,000 Jews were put to death. Similar bloodshed occurred in Alexandria and Damascus.
- The Jewish rebellion itself took place in 66 AD.
- Tacitus in the Annals refers to disturbances, insurrections, war, and commotions in as diverse places as Germany, Africa, Gaul, Parthia, Britain, and Armenia.
- Josephus says that Roman civil wars in this era were so common that he didn’t see a need to write about them in detail. The Roman civil wars were especially pronounced between 68-70 when three emperors held the top spot in short order and their rival troops fought it out.
After our Savior’s ascension, the seditions amongst the Jews were so many; and they rebelled so often against the Romans, during the governments of Felix, Festus, Albinus, and Florus, that the Romans resolved wholly to destroy them, and to that purpose Titus Vespasian was sent with an army against them, who took the city.
These verses refer to the wars between the Romans and their vassal states, as well as the skirmishes between Rome and Judaea, which culminated in AD 70 [Otho v. Vitellius v. Vespasian; The sedition under Cureanus, the 10,000 destroyed by cut-throats, in Ascalon, Ptolemais, Alexandria, Damascus, etc. (FNL)
Lion of Judah cites 2 Timothy 4:1-5 and Christians not enduring sound doctrine.
The counter-reformation by the false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals has been very effective during the last few centuries, so that Christians are not understanding sound doctrine.
People have become experts at explaining the futuristic explanations of prophecy fulfillment, which were created by the Jesuit priest of Rome to counter the Protestant Reformers, who all proclaimed that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 7, the ‘son of perdition’ of 2 Thessalonians 2, and the ‘antichrist beast’ of Revelation 13, who leads the ‘harlot’ church of Rome.
The futuristic explanation cause them to look to a future one-man antichrist, instead of realizing that the Popes come in the name of Christ, but they have misled billions of Catholics with a false gospel of works through the sacraments and that Mary is the intercessor to the Father.
The futuristic explanations cause you to look to a future one-man antichrist, instead of realizing that the Popes have already caused tens of millions of Messiah’s saints to be killed during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition.
Lion of Judah points to Matthew 24:9 and persecution of the saints.
Messiah is telling His disciples that they would be afflicted and killed; and the historical record proves that was the case. They were first persecuted by the Jewish leaders, then by the Roman leaders, and the people in the many nations of the Roman Empire.
All of the disciples but John were persecuted and killed by a violent death.
Lion of Judah points to Matthew 24:14, Gospel preached around the world.
Was this fulfilled? Let’s look at Scripture references to show the spread of the Gospel:
“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.” Romans 1:8
“But I say, Have they not heard (the Gospel)? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.” Romans 10:18
“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:” Romans 16:25-26
“If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.” Colossians 1:23
So we can see that it’s pointing to the Gospel being proclaimed around the world.
I’m going through the Olivet Discourse in this video series, to show how what Messiah described took place in that generation of Jewish leaders who rejected Him and sought to kill Him. Messiah uses symbolic language from the Old Testament to point to a literal fulfillment.

Lion of Judah teaches a futuristic fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9, the Olivet Discourse and the prophecies in Revelation.
The 70th week of Daniel 9 is about Messiah’s ministry and His blood sacrifice as the Spotless Lamb to atone for our sins. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
The Olivet Discourse foretold the events that would lead to the desolation of Jerusalem, the second temple and the Jewish nation; as punishment for the Jewish leaders continuing in rebellion against the Heavenly Father and for delivering His Son up to be killed. It has nothing to do with the antichrist or the end times.
Most of the prophecies in Revelation have been fulfilled in exacting detail during the last 1,900 years. It describes the historical narrative of the Satan-empowered leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan Emperors > antichrist beast Popes > false prophet Jesuit Superior Generals) fighting against Messiah and His saints.
The explanations of Dr. John Barnett of Discover the Book Ministries serve to deflect blame away from the enemy in Rome, and to mislead the end-times saints so that they’re not prepared for how the end-times will play out, and don’t know the context of Messiah’s return.
